UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO: POLICIES AND GOVERNING DOCUMENTS

Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ operates in Federation with the University of Toronto, which also means that all Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ students are bound by the policies developed by theÌýGoverning CouncilÌýof the University of Toronto. All University of Toronto policies are found on theÌýÌýand key policies that all Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ students should read, understand and abide by include:

Support related to cessation – the university offers support for faculty, staff and students who want to quit smoking:

  • Staff and faculty have access to Green Shield’s smoking-cessation program, which includes some drug coverage and pharmacist counselling, as well as an e-course available through the university’sÌý.
  • For students, smoking-cessation programs are available through the Health and Wellness Centres at the St. George campus and U of T Scarborough, and the Health and Counselling Centre at U of T Mississauga.

With this comes the obligation to transparency of operations and fair, equitable practice where community standards, and in some cases, legal responsibilities, are fulfilled. Membership at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ is by personal choice and governance structures exist to ensure sound operation of the College.
